Saturday, July 6, 2019Fire Station Staffing
Turlock- Today at 4:00 PM the Turlock Fire Department deployed its new staffing pattern. Due to a firefighter illness, Squad 32 was taken out of service and replaced with a Quick Response Vehicle which has been staffed with two firefighters instead of the normal three needed for a fire engine. All four of Turlock’s fire stations remain open at this time.Interim Fire Chief Gary Carlson stated, “Although this is a reduction from 13 to 12 in the total daily staffing for the department, emergency response times to 911 calls will remain intact. The Turlock Fire Department will continue to respond to all emergencies throughout the city with the appropriate resources.”
Any questions regarding this new staffing pattern should be directed to the Interim Fire Chief. He can be reached at gcarlson@turlock.ca.us.
